BIG-RACE BANKER

Presenting Percy (RSA Chase, 2.10 Cheltenham)

Wednesday is almost make or break for me and my banker of the week is Presenting Percy for Philip Reynolds, Pat Kelly and Davy Russell. The seven-year-old has won half of his 16 starts under rules, including last year's Pertemps Final on his only start at this course, and warmed up for this event with a cracking run in the Grade 2 Red Mills Chase at Gowran Park last month. He's the clear form pick in this year's RSA Chase and will have no problem with the testing conditions.

DARK HORSE

Voix Du Reve(Coral Cup, 2.50 Cheltenham)

Voix Du Reve is my longest-running ante-post bet for the festival and it was nice to see Willie Mullins's six-year-old receiving some support over the last week into a general 14-1 shot. He's only had two runs since April 2016 but seems to have retained most of his ability and will now be primed for a crack at this competitive handicap under David Mullins. The drop in trip will suit him and he's a strong-travelling sort, which you need to go well in the Coral Cup. Max Dynamite is a lay for me in this ground, so a bigger-priced alternative was the way to go.

EYECATCHER

Felix Desjy(Champion Bumper, 5.30 Cheltenham)

Gigginstown don't run their horses in the Champion Bumper for the sake of it and neither does Gordon Elliott, who won the race last year with Fayonagh. Consequently Felix Desjy, who has been the subject of rave reviews this season, is worthy of note and he can maintain his 100 per cent record under Davy Russell. The ground won't be a bother for the six-year-old and he has plenty of stamina in the locker (winner of a 3m point). The application of the first-time hood helps.
