The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with three to follow on Tuesday

BANKER

Gracious John(2.10 Lingfield)

Winner of this race last year off 6lb higher, Gracious John has been a stable star for David Evans in his short career and can record his ninth victory in 36 starts. He's had just over a month's break since finishing midfield in a Nottingham handicap but he goes equally well, if not better, on the all-weather and should go well as a fresh horse in this contest. He has had a tendency to hang right when under pressure down the straight, so look for Fran Berry to go the inside route after breaking well from stall five.

EYECATCHER

Athassel(6.50 Wolverhampton)

Recorded all eight career victories for David Evans from December 2016 to May 2017, consequently seeing his mark go from 46 to 83. This all-weather specialist (ignore all of his runs on turf, he clearly does better on the synthetic surface) has looked ready to strike again with fifth and fourth-placed finishes the last twice and, now back down to his last winning mark, he should take this Wolverhampton prize.

EACH-WAY PLAY

Van Huysen (1.35 Lingfield)

Another to have won on this card last year, Van Huysen ended last season with three below-par runs in Class 2 company having scored on no less than three occasions over the winter and would have needed the run when making his seasonal reappearance in November. He's finished in the frame nine times from 14 starts at Lingfield, including winning on three occasions, and despite never scoring off this mark, he has 3lb claimer Callum Shepherd aboard and a nice racing weight of 8st 8lb.
