The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with three to follow on Saturday

BANKER

A Momentofmadness(3.45 Lingfield)

This son of Elnadim has won three of four starts on the all-weather – his only defeat came when an unlucky third behind Encore D'Or last July – and has an exceptional strike-rate when fresh, suggesting that this is the time to catch him right. He races off a joint career-high mark but his runs at the back-end of last season indicate he's open to further improvement.

EYECATCHER

Ballard Down(3.35 Doncaster)

This five-year-old has been in my notebook since landing a mile handicap on soft ground at Newmarket in July and conditions look ideal for his return in the Lincoln. He's been raised 9lb for that effort but won with plenty in hand that day and this mark could still underestimate him. Likely to be a double-figure price, Ballard Down will be primed to run his best race of the season on his reappearance and it would be no surprise to see him bang there at the finish.

GOOD THING

Semana Santa(8.45 Wolverhampton)

David Barron's mare hasn't won in 18 starts and consequently labeling her as a 'good thing' seems rather far-fetched. However, there are plenty of reasons why today could be the day for the five-year-old. She's back at the course and distance of her only career success, is fitted with first-time blinkers which looks sure to sharpen her up and is racing off a career-low mark of 60. She ran a nice race when plugging on to take fifth behind a subsequent winner last time out over a furlong further and a 2lb drop gives her a real chance.
