The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with three to follow on Friday
BANKER
Hillary View(4.35 Newton Abbot)
Peter Bowen's Hillary View should be favourite for this 3m2f chase and I think he will readily make amends for falling at Hexham last time out when travelling sweetly in midfield. I'm sure he would have won that race if he stood up (jumping normally fine) and he is allowed to race off the same mark of 120 here. He's never run over this trip but has been powerful at the line over shorter distances and I don't think that will be a problem. The Flame should set it up for him nicely from the front.
DARK HORSE
East Street Revue(4.25 York)
Although it's a typical big-field York handicap where every runner appears to have a chance, I really quite fancy East Street Revue. Tim Easterby's five-year-old has tended to find life tough the last two years after going from a mark of 57 to 90 in a very productive 2016. However, he loves it at this track and won this race last year with plenty in hand off a mark of 89 having always been up with the pace. The handicapper has given him a huge chance of following up 12 months on as he's allowed to compete off a 4lb lower mark despite running well on his last four starts.
EACH-WAY PLAY
Mistress Of Love (2.25 Newmarket)
With the dead eight runners in the Group 3 Oh So Sharp Stakes, it looks a race to play each-way and Karl Burke's Mistress Of Love could prove the best value at around 12-1. A daughter of Scat Daddy, Mistress Of Love disappointed when sent off a very skimpy 2-5 favourite on debut at Ayr but made amends when showing a bright turn of foot at Newcastle last time out. That didn't look a bad race by any means and the way she picked up when asked by Clifford Lee suggested could be a black-type filly. This is a tough assignment and it looks a pretty hot race, but I'd be surprised if she didn't run into the places.
