The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with one to follow on Wednesday
EYECATCHER
Two three-year-olds take on their elders in this 0-80 handicap for horses that haven't won in 2019, and Mutawaffer is the one that stands out for trainer Charlie Hills. If you asked connections of this son of Kodiac where he would be in July 2019 just before he was sent off 8-1 joint-fourth favourite for the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot last year, I don't think they would say that he would be contesting this low-grade affair. There is a reason for his fall from grace, which is that he clearly has his own thoughts about the game. Slowly away, hanging under pressure and not finding when asked has been noted in recent starts, but he has more than enough ability to win this race and I'm hoping the extra half a furlong and drop in the handicap will help him fire. It's a risk, but one worth taking at around 9-2.
