There are a few short-priced favourites today and more than a few small fields, but one at a reasonable price worth chancing is Chris Gordon's Seaweed, who makes his second start for the yard and is dropped down to 2m for the first time since January 2017. Formerly with Tony Martin in Ireland, Seaweed, who is still unexposed, was mainly campaigned over further and showed he had enough ability to win a race like this off his current mark on a few occasions. He was well punted on his stable debut at Fontwell last month and travelled strongly for a long way, but never managed to land a blow behind a subsequent winner. This rates an easier task.
