The Punt Daily: Tom Collins with one to follow on Monday
BANKER
Paul Cole's five-year-old prefers some give in the ground and the yard aren't banging them in (43 days since Cole's last winner), but on a day of trappy affairs, it is hard to ignore the chance of the well-handicapped Medieval in the penultimate contest at Windsor. Despite not winning since September 2017, Medieval has run a number of cracking races in the interim, including when featuring in the finish in a couple of big-field handicaps last summer off marks in the high 80s. He's hit the crossbar in three attempts this season, recording form figures of 533, but the handicapper has been lenient in dropping him 3lb since his reappearance which allows him to compete off a career-low mark of 82. A repeat of his third at Ascot two starts ago would see him go extremely close.
