The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Wednesday afternoon
EYECATCHER
Pelekai(3.45 Goodwood)
Mark Johnston has already struck at this year's Glorious Goodwood meeting courtesy of Maydanny and he looks to back-up last year's success with Mrs Bouquet in this race. He is represented by Pelekai, a sharp debut winner at Newcastle who appears to have regressed in two subsequent outings. However, she has faced tough opposition at Ascot and York and may well relish the drop down to a conditions race. This speedy Kodiac filly is said to have worked well at home and it wouldn't be a surprise if she made every yard of the running.
DARK HORSE
Sarvan(2.15 Goodwood)
This staying handicap looks extremely competitive but I'm going to take a chance on George Scott's Sarvan, who bumped into King Leonidas and Spectrum Of Light on his first two outings before romping home at Pontefract when last seen. The gelded three-year-old picked up takingly and ran away from a useful sort in Crystal Pegasus, suggesting that the extra two furlongs will suit. His mark of 92 could underestimate him.
