The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Wednesday afternoon
BANKER
Shetland Bus(3.10 Ludlow)
Justin Landy has proved to be very shrewd with his runners and boasts an impressive 32 per cent strike-rate under rules (12-38) over the last five years. He is represented by recent winner Shetland Bus, who scored at the second time of asking for Landy at Musselburgh nine days ago and is able to compete off the same mark, which means he is 5lb well in. The six-year-old won in game fashion over 2m4f but has proved he stays 3m well in the past and this small step up in trip will surely suit. The booking of Becky Smith is a positive and he's hard to oppose.
DARK HORSE
Experienced five-year-old who somehow won over the minimum 5f here on debut. He quickly marked himself down as a miler and troubled the judge on many occasions, before being stepped up to stamina-testing distances the last twice. Family Fortunes proved he has untapped potential over this kind of trip last time, when he finished a good fifth of nine at Kempton over 1m3f on his first outing for 63 days. He will no doubt improve for that run and a furlong shorter may suit the strong-travelling gelding. He's on a 2lb lower mark than when last successful and has got a lovely draw in stall two.
