The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Tuesday afternoon

BANKER
Hang In There (2.25 Exeter)
There will be plenty of support for David Pipe's runner in this maiden hurdle but I much prefer Hang In There, who has some smart Irish form in the book and was given no chance when badly hampered and unseating Adam Wedge at the first on stable debut. He probably would have won that race with ease given how the race panned out and I'm hopeful he can make amends before going on to bigger and better things.
GOOD THING
Hamish Macbeth (3.45 Newcastle)
Hugo Palmer has an eyecatching 22 per cent strike-rate at Newcastle and must have a great chance of enhancing that with Hamish Macbeth, one of two runners on the card. The son of Due Diligence notched impressive victories at Newmarket and Salisbury in mid summer before finishing a creditable third of 26 in an auction race at the Curragh last time. He was smashed up in the betting before that and plenty was expected of him, and he nearly rewarded punters but the line came a few strides too soon. He will probably be better over 7f but this trip is fine, and hopefully he can transfer his turf form to the all-weather.
