The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Tuesday afternoon

BANKER

(4.30 Nottingham)

Tim Easterby's three-year-old gelding is one of the better bets of the week as he seeks a double after a cosy victory over this course and distance a week ago. The son of Gregorian relished the soft ground and return to six furlongs that day, romping home off a mark of 58 to win by two and a half lengths in the style of a horse much better than his rating when conditions are right. He looks likely to get cut in the ground once more and given he is the one improver in this race against a load of experienced handicappers who have little to hide, I would be surprised if he didn't come out on top.

GOOD THING

(3.30 Nottingham)

This isn't a bad conditions race by any means, with three horses rated over 100 in the line-up who are likely to dominate the £16,000 sprint. However, both Kyllang Rock (just second start since May 2018 and well below-par last time) and Stake Acclaim may find it tough to deny Tarboosh a repeat victory in this race after a bloodless success 12 months ago. Paul Midgley's sprinter hasn't fully clicked into gear so far this season but has had a wind operation since his last run and goes well fresh. The key aspect to his chance, though, is the good to soft ground. Whenever 'soft' has been in the going desciption Tarboosh has performed well, notching form figures of 215131213.
