The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Tuesday afternoon

BANKER

Ruby Yeats (1.45 Lingfield)

Gary Moore's eight-year-old mare is 1-21 under rules and has some serious jumping question marks, but if she takes her fences fluently she should be winning this staying chase. She featured in the finish on multiple occasions last year off higher marks and caught the eye with her finishing effort over 2m4f at this track on her seasonal reappearance. She travelled better than anything in that race but stumbled on landing three out, which cost her any chance she had, and eventually was beaten just two-and-a-quarter lengths. This step up in trip is a plus and hopefully Joshua Moore can get her into a nice rhythm.

DARK HORSE

(2.15 Lingfield)

The recent form of The Gipper will mean he goes off a respectable price but things seem to be in place for a return to his best form. Evan Williams' charge has been beaten a total of 151 lengths on his last five outings, never featuring at the business end, but he tends to do his winning in bunches and recorded the first of two quickfire successes in this race last year. He stayed on powerfully that day, putting away his rivals by an ever-increasing seven lengths, before scoring easily at Ffos Las on his next outing off 7lb higher. His dry spell since has meant that he is back to a mark of 113 (2lb higher than 12 months ago) and he has undergone a wind operation and has cheekpieces fitted for the first time. The angles are there, lets hope he produces.
