The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Tuesday afternoon
BANKER
One of just five horses to have experience of racing in this 12-strong field and the only previous winner, Arctic Vega has to give 7lb and up to his rivals but has the necessary talent to do just that and maintain his unbeaten record. Andrew Balding's three-year-old was well punted on debut at Kempton and won with plenty in hand despite not being asked for maximum effort. He is a well-bred son of Lope De Vega and is sure to improve on that first day of school. The ground won't be a problem, either.
EYECATCHER
Cap Francais(3.45 Haydock)
Good to soft ground will be perfect for Ed Walker's Cap Francais, who won a good novice event at this track as a juvenile and was considered a Derby prospect 13 months ago when he finished fourth in a trial at Lingfield. Walker bypassed that option, instead running him in the Hampton Court and Gordon Stakes, where he disappointed. Cap Francais didn't appear to stay over 1m4f or 1m6f at the end of the year and the drop back to a mile and class relief should help his cause.
