The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Sunday afternoon

GOOD THING

Alligator Alley (3.45 Curragh)

Joseph O'Brien's team is in sparkling form and this sprinter has to be of serious consideration given that he is dropping into handicap company for the first time in his career. A sharp juvenile last year, Alligator Alley won the Listed Roses Stakes at York with a potent turn of foot in August before finding the step up to Group competition tough after a long season. He proved he had trained on from two to three when he returned with a promising second in Listed company at Naas. He may prove a cut above these rivals under Declan McDonagh.

EYECATCHER

Amplify (1.55 Windsor)

Brian Meehan is another trainer in flying form with a 26 per cent strike-rate (5-17) in the last 14 days heading into the weekend and he can enhance that statistic when Amplify runs in this 0-88 sprint handicap. This four-year-old son of Acclamation is at his best on quick turf and posted his second-best career effort when winning over 5f here (only start at the track) last summer. He added a Bath success to that win and was gelded over the winter. He caught the eye with a strong late effort on his return and could be well handicapped.
