The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Saturday afternoon

BANKER

Migration (2.25 Sandown)

Country will probably head the market for this 1m2f handicap but he will have to take a pretty big leap forward to deny Migration, who put up a huge career-best performance over this course and distance when last seen. David Menuisier, whose string you can follow blind at Sandown (7-30, 23 per cent strike-rate, +£23.60 to £1 level stakes), is firing in the winners of late and Migration, who clearly goes well here, looks to be well handicapped after just a 6lb rise for that easy success. That contest was very competitive – better than the one he is in today – and he fairly romped home, recording a good RPR and speed figure in the process. He is open to more improvement over this trip and I'll be disappointed if he doesn't get the job done.

EYECATCHER

(5.20 Sandown)

I'm not one to tip a horse on his first run back from a gelding operation as I feel it takes a run or two for them to return to peak form, but Dubai Instinct is an exception as he returns in much easier company and shouldn't need to 100 per cent to enter the winner's enclosure. Brian Meehan's three-year-old really caught the eye early this season with a fine fourth-placed effort behind Bangkok and Telecaster on his return followed by a victory at Nottingham. He scooted clear that day (second now rated 100, third rated 92) and looked a horse with serious ability, but failed to put it all together on his next start in the London Gold Cup. That race, as ever, is very strong and although he hasn't been seen since, he should have no trouble scoring off a mark of 85 if anywhere near ready to roll.
