Stittenham Wood(2.45 Ayr)

Unexposed three-year-old gelding who showed plenty of promise in a couple of runs in novice company in September. Trainer Mick Easterby isn't known for his juvenile winners, so you can assume that he had left plenty to work on with the imposing Stittenham Wood. He returned from a 257-day break at Doncaster last month and finished an eyecatching fourth despite racing far too free in the opening stages. He is left on an unchanged mark of 64 and could prove to be the best handicapped horse in the field.

DARK HORSE

Supremacy (5.45 Windsor)

Collinsbay is interesting in this 6f maiden and will take a lot of beating granted natural improvement, but I prefer the price of Clive Cox's Supremacy. The precociously-bred son of Mehmas was well found in the market before making his debut over this course and distance last month and although he couldn't produce the goods, he showed bright speed and potentially just blew up in the final furlong. Cox has his team in flying form and hopefully Supremacy can go close.
