Stepped up in trip to 2m7f last time and finished well to take a clearcut second behind a runaway scorer and is surely a winner waiting to happen despite another dramatic distance change.

Winless in five points and his first five outings under rules but was the subject of strong support at big prices eight days ago on his handicap chase debut and absolutely hacked up. Beat the prolific and talented Treacyenniscorthy by five and a half lengths that day with plenty more in the locker, and although he is up 14lb in the weights, it looks well and truly justified on that evidence. Trainer Gavin Cromwell remains in red-hot form and Jimmil will hopefully follow up in the Ulster National.
