Book Of Secrets (1.00 Lingfield)

Three-year-old gelding who showed bits of ability when third on three consecutive starts last season for former trainer Ed Vaughan, but has looked thrown in on each occasion this season. He was repeatedly denied a clear run on his reappearance at this track, before fairly bolting up over this course and distance off a mark of 68 in mid December. Regular rider Hollie Doyle seemed to make her move a touch early last time and the duo paid for the exertions in the final 50 yards, but he strikes me as a horse that could find himself competing off a rating in the mid 80s sooner rather than later.
