Lightly raced ten-year-old who has been unlucky on numerous occasions, including when being brought down at the 14th fence in the Borders National at this track last time when still travelling powerfully. Lucinda Russell's charge has plenty of class and loves it at this track, but seems to find himself in the wrong position at the wrong time all too often and hopefully should be favoured by a smaller field today. Big River has been dropped 3lb since finishing fifth of 23 in the Scottish National in April and would feature at the business end if returning to anything like that form.
