The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tip on Sunday afternoon
GOOD THING
Oscar Wilde(1.30 Sedgefield)
Winless in nine starts under rules but has placed six times and is a horse who could rack up a number of victories once getting his head in front for the first time. Trainer Sue Smith has tried him over a variety of trips with varying degrees of success, but this 2m3½f looks right up his street given he was only headed on the run-in last time out over further at Market Rasen. His novice hurdling form, most notably when he was beaten just a length and a three-quarters by Rouge Vif (now rated 150) and 13-and-a-half lengths by Imperial Aura (136), is miles better than any of his opponents achieved in that sphere. Consequently, Oscar Wilde's chase mark of 109 is surely workable with conditions in his favour.
