I've backed this filly more times than I'd be happy to admit and her career record of just two wins from 29 starts should temper enthusiasm, especially as she's placed on 14 occasions. However, I'm convinced that she's got another win in her off a mark in the mid 70s and the return to Ascot could see an improved display. Single caught the eye with a strong, late burst to take third over this course-and-distance in July in a race that wasn't run to suit. She has run four times since and performed well on each occasion, so it would be foolish to jump off the cliff now that she's been dropped 1lb and returns to a track she handles.
