Nicky Henderson has won this race three times since 2011 and has a 19 per cent strike-rate with his hurdlers at Ascot in his career, so it's fair to say he will probably target one of his better horses at this race. Plenty went wrong for Gipsy De Choisel on his sole French start but he still got the job done at a huge price and the runner-up boosted the form when hacking up by eight-and-a-half-lengths next time. A first-time hood is a slight concern, but Henderson described him as 'very nice' in a recent stable tour and I expect him to make a winning start.
