The afternoon fare looks on the tough side and I'll be keeping my palate quite dry before having a crack at the evening meetings (tips in The Evening Punt at 4pm), but one that did interest me was Wentworth Falls in the Thirsk feature handicap. It's a tight-knit affair but there looks to be plenty of early pace in the field and that can help Geoff Harker's sprinter, who saw far too much daylight when a good third last time out. The reliable grey raced on the wing that day and given he needs to be covered up for a late challenge, that was far from ideal. He has finally been dropped in the weights (2lb lower now) and is fitted with a first-time visor, which could sneak out some extra improvement.
