The Punt Daily: Tom Collins' free horse racing tip for Wednesday's French action
BANKER
The most confident selection in the last week in this column, Katafonic should make it second-time lucky for trainer Carlos Laffon-Parias in the mile maiden at Vichy. Owned by the Wertheimer brothers, who rarely have a bad horse, Katafonic was well fancied on debut at Deauville in February but showed signs of greenness in the early stages and was held up near last. He briefly quickened when asked but then got badly hampered, forcing him to check off heels and switch out wide. From then on he was given a sympathetic ride and it is fair to assume he is much better than his finishing position of seventh suggests. This eight-runner affair looks a very winnable contest and I would be disappointed if he didn't come out on top.
