The Punt Daily: three to follow on the third day of York

William Haggas: could have a nice horse for next year with Al Muffrih

BANKER

Mojito (4.50 York)

It has paid to be prominent at York so far and the rapidly improving Mojito looks certain to race close to the pace in Friday's finale. Winner of three of his six starts, the William Haggas-trained three-year-old has looked much more professional on his last two outings, winning cosily on both occasions, and has form at the track and on likely conditions. (Tom Collins)

DARK HORSE

Al Neksh(1.55 York)

William Haggas's four-year-old was a well-beaten favourite at Newmarket last time but he burst a blood vessel during the race so that effort is easily excused. He is much better judged on his reappearance second in a decent 1m2f course handicap and there may be more to come from this lightly raced sort upped in distance. (Kevin Morley)

EACH-WAY PLAY

Toscanini(3.00 York)

Been acting as either a pacemaker or spoof pacemaker for Ribchester this season, but high quality in his own right and has been third in a Jersey Stakes and second in a Group 1 National Stakes over today's seven-furlong trip in his time. This is wide open and he looks worth each-way support. (Paul Kealy)
