The Punt Daily: three to follow on Ladbrokes Trophy day

Doncaster
Doncaster

DARK HORSE

Wolfcatcher (2.20 Doncaster, Saturday)

Ian Williams has had his horses in tremendous form for some time now and was in the winner's enclosure at Doncaster yesterday, so expect Wolfcatcher to go really well in the Betfred Treble Odds On Lucky 15s Handicap Hurdle (2.20). Wolfcatcher has been really disappointing given how much ability he showed on the Flat but he has been crying out for a step up in trip on good ground and the handicapper has given him a good chance too. (Tom Segal)

GOOD THING

Bishops Road (3.20 Newcastle, Saturday)

Finished fourth in a considerably better renewal of this race 12 months ago off a 10lb higher mark and if back to that sort of form will win this easily. Obviously things have not gone quite right for him since, but he has a fine record fresh, the trainer is in form and Jamie Moore heads all the way to Newcastle just for this ride. (Paul Kealy)

BANKER

Gold Present (1.20 Newbury, Saturday)

Still unexposed despite being a seven-year-old and proved that he can go well fresh when comfortably winning on chase debut this time last year. This mark doesn't look too stiff given his second-placed finish at the Cheltenham Festival off 5lb lower in March and he can provide favourite backers with something to cheer about. (Tom Collins)
