Godolphin often target the Sweet Solera – they have won five of the last ten runnings – and Poetic Charm is the dart they fire this time around. Richard Fahey's sprinter boasts a 67 per cent strike rate (2-3) on soft ground. He wears a hood for the first time in the Shergar Cup Sprint, ran promisingly when seventh at Newmarket last month and is the mount of Hayley Turner. (Jack Haynes)

DARK HORSE

Spot Lite (6.10 Lingfield)

Rod Millman's juvenile hasn't shown a great deal in three starts but he has been slowly away each time and a better start will almost certainly see him improve. He starts out in nursery company off a lowly mark and has the plum draw on the stands' rail. (Kevin Morley)
