The Punt Daily: three to follow on an action-packed Saturday

BANKER

Agar's Plough(4.25 York)

An interesting novice event can go the way of the twice-raced Agar's Plough, trained by Ed Dunlop. The son of Dutch Art caught the eye when seventh on debut at Newmarket in August and showed dramatic improvement when second at Ascot last time out. He was well supported into 5-1 that day and travelled like the best horse in the race only to hang his chance away in the finish. He would've come on for that and should be more professional this time around. (Tom Collins)

EYECATCHER

Big Country (2.05 York)

Big improver on his first four starts for Michael Appleby this year, culminating in a course-and-distance win in June. Didn't appear to stay 1m4f and got no cover in the Cambridgeshire either side of a fine second to subsequent dual Group 3 winner Ballet Concerto in the John Smith's Cup under these conditions in July. He looks well worth another chance to confirm himself a handicapper going places. (Andrew Cooper)

DARK HORSE

Dinsdale (3.35 Chepstow)

Dinsdale looks to have been trained for the Paul Ferguson's Jumpers To Follow Hurdle at Chepstow and on the pick of last year's form, he is on an attractive handicap mark. Given a warm up run on the Flat earlier in the month, Dinsdale should be spot on for this and can cause a minor upset. (Tom Segal)
