The Punt Daily: Robbie Wilders' two each-way plays at Cheltenham on Wednesday

EACH-WAY PLAY

Saint Felicien (2.50 Cheltenham)

Gordon Elliott could have a big day at the festival on Wednesday and Saint Felicien has strong claims in the Coral Cup. Considered a live Champion Hurdle outsider at the beginning of the season, Saint Felicien is deeply unexposed and ran a cracker when second in the Limestone Lad Hurdle on just his second start for the yard. The five-year-old was poorly suited by the conditions of that contest, the 1m7½f trip was sharp enough and the ground was quicker than anything he'd experienced. He still managed to finish ahead of experienced and classy campaigners Whiskey Sour, Petit Mouchoir and Felix Desjy, giving the trio 4lb. He put up an RPR of 153 there and gets in off 149 for his handicap debut. With winning form over 2m1½f on very soft ground at Auteuil, I'm not overly concerned by the 2m5f trip on good to soft. He can only improve.

EACH-WAY PLAY

Delta Work (4.10 Cheltenham)

Tiger Roll's swansong in the Glenfarclas Chase can be spoiled by stablemate Delta Work, who is a massive each-way player and one of few plausible winners. This may be an unpopular opinion, but I firmly believe Delta Work has been a better horse than Tiger Roll. He has won five top-level races and this is a massive drop in class for a horse who has run in 14 consecutive Grade 1s. Tiger Roll is 12 now and I'm not buying into the sentimentality. Don't forget he was a beaten odds-on favourite in this two years ago when Easysland, who is far inferior to Delta Work, proved too good. If Delta Work takes to the cross-country course it is impossible to see him out of the frame. He is three years younger and doesn't look finished yet.
