The Punt Daily: Robbie Wilders' free horse racing tip at Doncaster on Friday
BANKER
Hazzaar (11.55 Doncaster)
Six-year-old who has always been highly regarded by trainer Tom Lacey and was sent off favourite for a Listed bumper at Ascot two seasons ago. Hazzaar outran my own expectations on his return after rejoining the yard at Cheltenham, staying on best after being held up to claim fifth in a hot 17-runner handicap in November. Lost his way slightly for Venetia Williams in three starts on testing ground and is clearly at his best on better ground, which he gets at Doncaster. I got the impression from reading a stable tour in the Racing Post Weekender that Hazzaar wouldn't have been fully fit prior to the Cheltenham run and should improve a bundle from it. A 2lb rise to 119 off the back of that display could be generous and Lacey has seemingly re-inherited a very well handicapped horse. While he might be at his best over further than 2m½f, he is a strong fancy to score here.
