A 150-rated hurdler, he clearly has ability but has taken time to find his feet as a chaser. However, there was definite encouragement to be taken from his latest fourth in the Thyestes at Gowran. An experience like that should stand to the horse who once beat Monkfish and Escaria Ten in a maiden hurdle, now rated 137 over fences. The presence of Grade 1 winner Franco De Port in the line-up means Diol Ker carries just 10st 5lb - he makes plenty of appeal at the likely prices.
