It looks as though the conditions of Sunday's Grade 2 National Spirit Hurdle should suit Darver Star down to the ground, receiving a nice pull at the weights with his main rivals. Only a length and a quarter separated the Gavin Cromwell-trained challenger and Brewin'upastorm at Lingfield five weeks ago - a race that proved a little messy for the Irish raider. With the presence of Allmankind and Guard Your Dreams in the line-up this time, there should be sufficient pace in the race to allow Darver Star to be delivered later than he was last time. He can make his trainer's first visit to Fontwell a fruitful one.
