The bookies have installed Nazeef as favourite for the Listed Snowdrop Fillies’ Stakes and it is no surprise given she promised so much last season. However, in this race she is coming up against a rival of a very different calibre. Billesdon Brook may have to give Nazeef 7lb, but she is still the clear pick on official ratings and, given she has won a 1,000 Guineas and a Sun Chariot – and is unbeaten on the all-weather – she looks the obvious choice. Nazeef could develop into a superstar but her form simply doesn’t warrant her being 5-2, while 4-1 about the latter appears an excellent price.
