The form of his win at Newbury in April has worked out excellently, with subsequent Queen's Vase winner Dashing Willoughby, dual Group 1-placed Space Blues, London Gold Cup and Group 2 winner Headman, Floating Artist and Turgenev in behind. He looked as if he was going to win the Chester Vase but didn't get home and his run in the red-hot Hampton Court Stakes at Royal Ascot was a belter considering he was held up and trapped out wide. The more rain falls the better on his return to a mile.
