BANKER

Dinaria Des Obeaux (2.50 Clonmel)

A useful juvenile last term, Dinaria Des Obeaux was found wanting at the very top level but produced a respectable effort to finish 11th in the Triumph Hurdle. She made a winning start to life over fences at Wexford last time, and although she was receiving a whopping 16lb from La Martalin, she showed a good attitude to get the verdict. To put it simply, she does have her limitations, but it is extremely tough to see past her considering she is a four-year-old and will therefore only carry 9st 11lb.

EYECATCHER

Petite Power (3.30 Ludlow)

Petite Power improved incredibly for the move to Fergal O'Brien's stable last season, including when beating Shanroe Santos at Huntingdon – that horse won his next two and was subsequently raised 10lb. He appeared to plateau after that but is still relatively unexposed for an eight-year-old and made an eyecatching comeback when fourth at Cheltenham last time, where he stayed on strongly after getting outpaced. He races off the same mark here and can put up a bold bid now fully fit.

GOOD THING

G For Ginger (3.10 Taunton)

Anthony Honeyball's seven-year-old mare has only hit the track eight times, but she really seems to be getting the hang of things and nothing in this race looks particularly well handicapped. Her maiden hurdle win reads very well as the second, Maria's Benefit, has since gone on to win a deep handicap hurdle at Sandown, and the sixth, Woolstone One, has also gone on to score. She didn't seem to appreciate the step up to 2m5½f last time, but this 2m3f could be perfect.
