The Punt Daily: James Stevens' free horse racing tip at Carlisle on Monday

BANKER

Walk In My Shoes (5.07 Carlisle)

Everything about this horse suggests she will appear well handicapped when finally tested at a longer trip, and I hope this is the day. The former point runner-up shaped like three miles would be ideal when third on her penultimate start at Warwick. She plugged on well despite looking outpaced at times, but of course she was no match for the unbeaten Love Envoi, who further boosted the form in Grade 2 company on Thursday. Jonjo O'Neill surprisingly dropped Walk In My Shoes in trip last time, and she was outpaced again, but the combination of three miles, Carlisle's stiff finish and testing ground will place far more emphasis on stamina, which I expect could well be her asset. She will have to improve, there's a few of these in good form, but she looks the one who could have considerable improvement to come. Interestingly, O'Neill is 5-10 with his runners making the long trip to Carlisle and that record could be even better before Walk In My Shoes lines up.
