This six-year-old threatened to be a high-class prospect when striking easily on his debut in a Newbury bumper and, despite disappointing since, can return back to his best here. His second in a three-runner race is not too bad a piece of form, the winner was a 1-3 favourite and has won again since. That day Petrossian raced a bit keen and looked like he needed the run off a 240-day break so improvement can be expected from that. Trainer Paul Nicholls also appears to have found a moderate race and one that should suit given a few of these like to race prominently. He can sit just off the pace as he did at Newbury and hopefully show the same ability at the crucial stage.
