DARK HORSE

Captain Scooby (5.05 Thirsk)

Richard Guest's veteran sprinter has won five races when returning to the track three or less days following his previous run. The eleven-year-old ran creditably at Ffos Las on Tuesday, staying on from the rear of the field to finish fifth, and is fancied to gain a 19th win with a quick return to action to suit.

EYECATCHER

Indiana Dawn (6.20 Chepstow)

Robert Stephens' four-year-old filly ran with promise on her return from a seven-month break when a close sixth at Ffos Las eleven days ago. Off a mark of 53 and with the benefit of her reappearance, she should go close under promising 5lb apprentice Joshua Bryan.

STAT ATTACK

Curtsy (8.20 Chepstow)

Hughie Morrison boasts a 26 per cent strike-rate at Chepstow in the past five seasons, saddling seven winners from his last 27 runners at the track. He runs Curtsy, who should be suited by the step up to two miles.
