Last winter Power Of States was very successful, winning five times from October and finishing his season with fourth in the Winter Derby.

The five-year-old has only been sighted twice this summer, finishing ninth in the Royal Hunt Cup before a below-par effort at York in August.

Back on the all-weather, I am hoping for a return to form for Power Of States, who has an excellent record at the track with four wins from six starts, three of which came over this 1m2f trip.

Off his last winning mark of 98, he makes plenty of appeal.
