Big eyecatcher from way off the pace on his debut at Kempton as he picked off plenty of rivals late after running green throughout. Finished fourth there and has a few lengths to find with the more experienced reopposing City Of York, but can do so with the promise of plenty more to come on his second start from a better draw over an extra furlong.

Capital Theory (2.55 Lingfield)

Hit an official rating of 83 as a juvenile and has returned to the track in decent form this winter after a year off. Didn't need to improve to easily land a 1m2f maiden at Chelmsford last time and, given the fact he is unexposed over middle distances and meets rivals we know plenty more about, looks the likeliest winner of this contest off a mark of 77 back in a handicap.

Hickory(6.00 Kempton)

This unbeaten James Fanshawe-trained four-year-old looks a rock-solid favourite on his handicap debut. A decent winner of a Yarmouth novice back in August 2020, Hickory defied a 792-day break to comfortably land a novice under a penalty over this course and distance in October. Could easily have been let in lightly off an opening mark of 80.
