Lightly raced, progressive son of Jack Hobbs who impressed on his first try at two miles last time at Chester. The drop back to 1m6f shouldn't be an issue in this contest and nor should a slight ease in the ground as his dam loved testing conditions. The sole three-year-old in the field, he can cash in on his 9lb weight-for-age allowance against rivals who are generally quite exposed.

Infiniti(4.37 Pontefract)

This nine-year-old mare is thriving and her recent excellent form can continue in this 2m1f handicap. Useful claimer Aiden Brookes is four from four when riding her and she was a class apart under Brookes at Ripon 16 days ago off 7lb lower on her first start after a short break. If Infiniti progresses from that she should take this quite cosily.

Gordons Aura (7.30 Chelmsford)

Connections of the maiden Gordons Aura haven't yet collected but a first win is surely around the corner and he can land this 1m6f handicap. A typical Sir Mark Prescott-trained low-grade improver, Gordons Aura showed the benefit of his seasonal return at Yarmouth by running a decent second to subsequent winner Mukha Magic at Nottingham last time. Gordons Aura is 1lb higher, unexposed and it is highly unlikely we have seen the best of him.
