The Punt Acca: Robbie Wilders' three horse racing tips on Friday

Sacred(4.03 Newbury)

While Sacred disappointed when sixth in the Group 2 City of York Stakes as favourite last time, she looks well worth another chance down in class in the Listed Dubai Duty Free Cup Stakes. I can forgive a horse a bad run at York and the form is fair with winner Kinross since plundering the Park Stakes at Doncaster and the seventh, Rohaan, coming out and finishing third in the Group 1 Sprint Cup. Sacred is excellently treated by the conditions of this race and receives weight from all her key rivals, so should be too good over a course and distance she is one from one at.

Red Bond (5.20 Ayr)

I was initially drawn to Mister Camacho in this 1m5f handicap as the form of his third at Thirsk over two miles last time looks strong. However, this significant drop in trip may not be ideal and Red Bond is picked instead. Red Bond ended a lengthy losing run when staying on strongly to score at Wolverhampton over 1m4f last time and a 5lb rise to 67 is of little concern as he was rated much higher last season. He has been edging back to form this summer and looks capable of doubling up.

Luttrell Lad (7.15 Kempton)

A highly competitive 2m handicap but the eye is drawn to Luttrell Lad for Philip Hobbs. This Grade 2-placed hurdler is presumably being aimed at the Cesarewitch at Newmarket next month and would surely need to incur a penalty or a double penalty to get into the race as his current mark of 77 probably won't cut it. This is his handicap debut on the Flat, and he has shown glimpses of promise in three starts over 1m4f. The extra four furlongs in trip will be a major help.
