The Punt Acca: Robbie Wilders' three horse racing tips on Friday
Kasperenko (5.18 Haydock)
There are a few unexposed three-year-olds contesting this 1m6f handicap but I'll be siding with Kasperenko, who is undoubtedly running back into form. It was a fair effort from Kasperenko to claim third behind the thrown-in Run For Oscar here last time and he returns off the same mark of 73. Rated 96 at the beginning of last year for former connections, the Eric Alston-trained eight-year-old has the assistance of useful 5lb claimer Oisin McSweeney in the saddle and that rider was aboard for his last success.
Love De Vega (5.25 Ascot)
Lightly raced son of Lope De Vega who defied a 415-day layoff with an authoritative Newmarket victory in July. While Love De Vega disappointed over the same course and distance seven days later, the assumption is the run simply came too soon. He can prove he remains on a good mark in the 7f handicap at Ascot after a month off with Frankie Dettori booked to ride. We are surely yet to see the best of him after just five runs and this track is also expected to suit.
Blame It On Sally (7.55 Kempton)
The early odds in the 2m handicap at Kempton underestimate course-and-distance winner Blame It On Sally from a decent draw in stall 3. The Alan King-trained six-year-old was weak in the betting after a huge 760-day break at Lingfield in July and ran a cracking race to finish second. Blame It On Sally ran to a similar level in a Racing League staying handicap next time and shaped a bit better than the result in fifth having met with interference. The handicapper has dropped him 1lb and I'm sure he's ahead of his mark.
