The Punt Acca: Robbie Wilders' three horse racing tips at Ascot on Friday

Whitehaven(2.35 Ascot)

Took a step back in the right direction when third to the reopposing Aggagio at Goodwood last time, although the handicapper has still generously dropped him 2lb ahead of this 2m handicap. Renews rivalry with Aggagio off 5lb better terms and should be suited by this stiff track, while the fact he has only run twice this season is a plus along with the booking of William Buick.

Dillian(3.45 Ascot)

While landing the Listed Noel Murless Stakes will be a tough ask for Dillian on his belated seasonal return, I can't let him go unbacked at a big price. The Michael Bell-trained three-year-old was the best of these at two and wasn't beaten far by El Bodegon on his third start in the Group 1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud. Open to loads of improvement for this first crack at a staying trip and will be the freshest horse in the race.

Bullace (4.55 Ascot)

Has tumbled down the handicap this season having been rated 102 in June, and now runs off a career-low mark of 89. His last two starts in particular have suggested he is well up to winning off this mark and this classified race, in which he is reasonably treated on official figures, looks a good opportunity for Bullace to regain the winning thread for the in-form Ralph Beckett.
