This son of Belardo caught the eye with a fantastic effort to win at Glorious Goodwood in July, holding on gamely after being forced to do pass the entire field due to a slow start. Dropping back to 6f did not suit at Newcastle last time and much better can be expected back over her favoured 7f. Her yard are in excellent form and she remains totally unexposed off a tempting mark.

Fox Hill(4.03 Redcar)

A dual course-and-distance winner, this six-year-old mare thrives at Redcar and has excellent claims off an attractive mark. She caught the eye with a staying-on fifth at Haydock last time over an inadequate 5f and a return to 6f is in her favour. Her ground versatility is another positive and with the in-form Jason Hart, who has ridden her to success in the past, back on board, a bold bid can be expected from the Eric Alston-trained filly.

Tarhib(4.30 Yarmouth)

Trained by William Haggas, this four-year-old was a dual winner in 2021 and after a disappointing run at Newmarket on reappearance, she bounced back to form after wind surgery at Chelmsford in June. She bumped into a subsequent Listed winner on that occasion and she races off just 2lb higher here. Unexposed after just six starts, there should still be plenty more to come from this expensive 1,050,000gns purchase.
