Above The Curve(3.50 Longchamp)

Successful on three of her four starts in 2022, Above The Curve was a comfortable winner of the course-and-distance Group 1 Prix Saint-Alary in May. She was tough in a workmanlike victory in the Blandford Stakes on her most recent start and she will relish a return to France on this sort of ground. She has a much better draw than main market rival Nashwa, and if she settles handily under Ryan Moore she has the form to really give that rival a race.

Isthebaropen(4.38 Uttoxeter)

The Gary Hanmer-trained Isthebaropen has done nothing but improve since going over staying trips and she returned to winning ways with authority at Stratford in August. A 6lb rise for that performance is far from harsh and thanks to William Shanahan's 7lb claim, she is effectively 1lb lower anyway. The dry forecast is another big positive and she remains lightly raced for her age, so further improvement should be forthcoming.

Kinross(5.00 Longchamp)

This sort of ground is perfect for the Ralph Beckett-trained Kinross, who arrives in the form of his life after Group 2 wins at York at Doncaster. Most recently, he was a very cosy winner of the Park Stakes and that was a career-best effort from the five-year-old. Little went right for him in this race 12 months ago and the draw is a small worry, but he is the class horse and provided the splits arrive off an even gallop he should be winning this handsomely.
