Zoffalee(2.45 Market Rasen)

He is winless since 2019, but after some respectable efforts he is surely on the verge of pouncing off this dangerous rating. Jumping mistakes have held him back the last twice, especially last time when he attempted to take the third-last fence home with him. He remains off an attractive mark of 112 and, provided he can put in even those most adequate of rounds, he will be tough to beat.

Ebro River(2.55 Chester)

Given his form this season, it is hard to believe this Hugo Palmer-trained three-year-old was a Group 1 winner last term. There have been some excuses, however, and his front-running style will be complimented by Chester. He is drawn just one off the rail and the blinkers should help him preserve some energy early in the race. If that is the case, he should have too much class for this field.

Saltonstall(4.10 Galway)

A dual winner at the Galway festival, the eight-year-old got a run that nightmares are made of when 11th in the premier mile handicap earlier in the week. He was denied a run the entire way through the journey, but at least that effort suggested he was in the mood to strike. Off the same rating, with Colin Keane booked, compensation could quickly await.
