The Punt Acca: Owen Goulding's three horse racing tips on Monday

Cobra Kai(2.40 Musselburgh)

Previously trained by Ben Haslam, Cobra Kai made a winning debut for Keith Dalgleish over 7f at Ayr in August. Placing in two subsequent starts, he bounced back from a flop at Ayr by finishing second over the same course and distance last time. He was rather unfortunate that day, given he led into a massive headwind, and off just 1lb higher, he can gain rightful compensation.

Dame Ethel Smyth(2.50 Windsor)

Showing promise in two opening starts, Dame Ethel Smyth took her form to a new level when second at Yarmouth two weeks ago. That form has plenty of substance to it and makes an opening mark of 76 look generous. Benoit de la Sayette takes 3lb off her back and with any amount of progress, she should prove too strong for this field.

Lebsayer(3.20 Windsor)

Most of this field looks exposed with the exception of a few, including the Sir Michael Stoute-trained Lebsayer. He was making his handicap debut when second over course and distance in August, only beaten by a rival who made all the running. He is 2lb higher here, but he drops slightly in grade and with the promise of further improvement from this well-bred colt, he can get off the mark under Richard Kingscote.
