She has had her problems, but if Walking On Air is unable to win this race, it would be hugely disappointing. An empathic winner on hurdling debut at Newbury, she was subsequently pulled up in a Grade 1 at Aintree last season. Her return third was an encouraging effort and she remains on the same mark. She should have come on for that effort and Nico de Boinville can steer this five-year-old to success.

Three Stripe Life(1.45 Leopardstown)

You can easily see the case for Gaillard Du Mesnil to win this Grade 1, but Three Stripe Life is worthy of a second chance. He made a horrendous blunder behind that rival at Fairyhouse last time and it is best ignoring that effort, especially as he was sent off 5-2 favourite. He retains all the potential he went into that race with and can make amends for Gordon Elliott.

Gesskille(2.40 Doncaster)

Having finished second in the Sefton and Becher Chase in his two starts this season, Gesskille deserves a day in the sun for Oliver Greenall and Josh Guerriero. His current rating of 141 is on the low side for what he has achieved of late and he remains unexposed as a six-year-old. Toby Wynne's 5lb claim takes him down to a manageable weight and this race looks at his mercy.
