The Punt Acca: Mark Boylan's three horse racing tips on Wednesday
Mauiewowie (7.00 Naas)
This promising two-year-old created an excellent impression when opening her account on debut last month. Returning to the same course and distance as that success, she should be comfortable in Listed company for the first time provided her lack of experience doesn't count against her. Trainer Ger Lyons said he hoped she could "go on to be a Cheveley Park filly or something like that" in the aftermath of her maiden strike, so she's clearly held in decent regard.
Chinx Of Light (7.15 Limerick)
A mistake at the second last probably cost this in-form six-year-old victory on his chasing debut last time at Kilbeggan. Just a head separated the John McConnell-trained selection and winner Everglow, who held a significant experience edge as he made his eighth start over fences. However, as a result of not winning on that occasion, Chinx Of Light now has a 6lb pull with main rivals Siberian Prince and Tullybeg in this novice chase. He should improve from his last start and make a bold bid.
Tashim (7.30 Naas)
Backers of this Paul Flynn-trained five-year-old would not have enjoyed watching his latest effort at Gowran when having no luck in running on his way to only being beaten a head. He's been nudged up 3lb for that luckless run, but that shouldn't be enough to halt his progress if getting the rub of the green this time. He can break his duck over what looks to be his optimum trip of a mile.
